Tianlong babu (Sanskrit: Astagatyah or Astauparsadah) is a Buddhist term, referring to the eight classes of supernatural beings with special powers. They are called tianlong babu (Eight Classes of Supernatural Beings) in Chinese because tian (devas) and long (nagas) are the highest-ranking among the eight classes, including deva, naga, yaksha, gandharva, asura, garuda, kinnara and mahoraga.
